The Ireland You Never Knew About

Unseasonal conditions brought monstrous swells in late August to Aileen's, Ireland's own version of the Banzai Pipeline. Those menacing curls failed to swallow up the brave souls that dared ride them, yet there is no doubt that the sight of these waves brought fear to some of those hearts. The images from Surfline's Swell Stories are both breathtaking and awe-inspiring. For those of you that share my ocean obsession, you will certainly appreciate these pictures .

Who knew that shamrocks, leprechauns, and Guinness weren't the only cool things out of Ireland?
